Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 April 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use rightvet.uk or myrightvet.rightvet.uk. By using either site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Who we are
Rightvet is a trading name of Right Index Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 17066317), with registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.
In these terms, “we” and “us” means Right Index Ltd. “You” means anyone using Rightvet.
3. What Rightvet is
Rightvet is an independent veterinary market intelligence platform. We aggregate publicly available information about UK veterinary practices, including ownership, published prices, and review summaries, to help pet owners make informed decisions and to help practice owners benchmark themselves against their local market.
We are not a booking service, a veterinary practice, or a provider of veterinary advice. We do not recommend practices; we present information and let you decide.
4. Using the consumer site
Anyone can use rightvet.uk without an account. You do not pay anything. You may sign up for a local briefing, which sends you a regular email summary about veterinary practices in your area. You can unsubscribe from any briefing at any time using the link in the email.
5. Data accuracy
Rightvet aggregates data from public sources, including the practices’ own websites, Companies House, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and Google. We work hard to keep this information accurate, but:
- Information can change between our scans (we refresh periodically, not continuously)
- Practices sometimes make errors on their own websites, which we reflect
- Prices we display may not apply to every situation, every pet, or every treatment
- Review summaries are AI-generated from the practice’s public reviews and may reflect the tone of those reviews without being individually verified
- Ownership and group membership can change (mergers, acquisitions, sales) faster than our records update
Always confirm prices, services, and availability directly with the practice before making a decision. Rightvet is a starting point for research. It is not, and is not intended to be, a substitute for contacting the practice.
If you find an error, please let us know using the “Report an error” link. We will investigate and correct it where appropriate, usually within 14 days.
6. Practice profiles
Every UK veterinary practice listed on Rightvet has a profile. We create these profiles from public information. A practice does not need to claim its profile for the profile to exist, and we do not require the practice’s permission to list it, because the underlying information is public.
A practice can claim its profile by verifying control of the practice’s RCVS-registered email address. Once claimed, the practice can correct errors, add information, and subscribe to our B2B tools.
We do not accept payment to change, remove, hide, or prioritise any practice profile. Our editorial independence is the point of the service.
7. myrightvet accounts and subscriptions
Rightvet offers both free and paid practice accounts. The features available at each tier, along with current prices, are shown in the dashboard before you subscribe.
Prices are in pounds sterling. We are not currently VAT registered, so prices do not include VAT.
If you subscribe to a paid plan
When you subscribe:
- You agree to be charged the subscription fee at the interval you choose
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period
- You can cancel at any time via the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until then.
- You do not get a refund for the current billing period unless we have significantly failed to provide the service
We may change prices for future billing periods. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email, and you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe’s terms in addition to these. We never see or store your full card number.
If a payment fails, we will retry automatically and email you. If the payment continues to fail, we may suspend or cancel your subscription.
8. Acceptable use
When using Rightvet, you agree not to:
- Use any automated system (bot, scraper, crawler) to access the site, other than public search engine indexing
- Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt any part of our systems you have not been authorised to use
- Submit information that is false, misleading, or not yours to submit
- Use the site to harass, defame, or make false claims about any person or practice
- Reproduce substantial portions of our content without our written permission (linking and quoting briefly is fine)
- Impersonate a practice you are not authorised to represent
We may suspend or remove access, with or without notice, if we believe you have breached these rules.
9. Our content and your content
The site, its design, its data aggregation, and the Rightvet Score methodology are ours. You may not copy, re-sell, or redistribute any of this except as these terms allow, or as English copyright law permits.
When you submit information to us (through claiming a profile, correcting data, sending feedback), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that information to provide and improve the service. You keep the rights in what you submit.
Review summaries displayed on practice profiles are generated from the practices’ public Google reviews. The underlying reviews remain the property of their authors and of Google.
10. Third-party services
We use third parties to deliver the service, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Brevo (email), Google Analytics and Google Places, Mapbox, and Meta. Where you interact with these services (for example, when paying through Stripe’s checkout), their terms and privacy notices apply in addition to ours.
11. Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for anything it would be illegal to limit, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
Subject to that:
- We provide Rightvet on a “reasonable efforts” basis. We do not guarantee that it will be available at all times, error-free, or free of interruptions.
- We are not responsible for your decisions about veterinary care. Rightvet provides decision support, not a decision.
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of information shown on third-party sites we link to, or for the actions of third parties.
- Where a subscriber suffers a loss because we have failed to provide Intelligence, our total liability for that loss is capped at the amount paid by that subscriber in the 12 months before the event that caused the loss.
- We are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or indirect or consequential losses.
12. Ending this agreement
You can stop using Rightvet at any time. If you have a myrightvet account, you can close it via the dashboard or by emailing us.
We can stop providing the service, or end your access to it, if you breach these terms, if we reasonably believe you have, or if we are required to by law. Where we end access, we will tell you why unless doing so would be unlawful.
We may also discontinue the service entirely, for business or regulatory reasons. If we do, we will give registered subscribers at least 60 days’ notice and refund any unused subscription fees.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes that affect you as a subscriber, we will tell you by email and give you at least 30 days’ notice before the changes take effect. The current version is always available at rightvet.uk/terms.
14. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by email is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, this does not affect your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your home country under mandatory local law.
15. Other details
- If any part of these terms is found by a court to be invalid, the rest continues to apply.
- If we do not enforce a right immediately, that does not mean we have given it up.
- These terms are between you and us. No third party has any rights under them.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to any company in our group or to a company that acquires our business.
16. Contact
For any question about these terms, email support@rightvet.uk. Post is also accepted at the registered office address above.
